October
We had photos taken in nursery by Tempest photography, the children really enjoyed this and the results were lovely.  The comission raised from this purchased us a new wooden table and chairs set for the children.  This month we also purchsed other items for our smalll world area such as animals and dolls house equipment.

We received notice that we had a mention in the nursery world magazine for all our charity fundraising for Barnardo.  Nursery World is a magazine received by all professional nurseries throughout the country!

The key start group started on Saturdays at nursery.  This is run by professionals who can help your child improve on communication skills, speech and literacy through hands on learning.  Please look at www.keystarteducation.co.uk for more information.

November
We had a parents evening this month which gave everyone a chance to chat to staff about their child's progress.  These are held twice a year and are really popular.

We had a fundraising day for the local brain injury unit.  We raised £75.00 by dressing up in our pyjamas for the day and having a party!

Staff did really well this month with lots of courses being attended over the last 3 months.  Many staff updated their food hygiene certificates, paediatric first aid, and child protection.  Other staff have been completing hygiene awards and customer care.  Well done all!

December
We are holding Christmas parties this month and we are having Santa to attend.  We will also be having a professional magic show- we can't wait.

We had a successful visit to assess us for a healthy snack award.  They were very impressed with the healthy wide variety of food on offer and the children's manners at the table.  We made a scrap book showing all the activities we get up to involving food and mealtimes at nursery along with photos of all the children for the assessor to see. We will have one more visit and then get a lovely certificate to display.

We purchased a water butt for our sensory garden, we are hoping that with all the rain it will fill up soon and we can use it to water the plants and make water pictures on the fence, maybe even make some mud pies!  Don't worry though we have our wellies and all in one suits to keep us clean and dry!

May i take this opportunity to wish all our cutomers and children a Happy Christmas and New Year. Please feel free to contact us soon if you require more information about the nursery or to book a viewing.  Look forward to seeing you soon.
