We had our fun day in July with lots of fun activities. We had a bouncy castle, sand and water play and cake decorating. Unfortunately the weather was not so good and we had to go indoors after a while to shelter from the rain! All in all we had a fun time and were well supported by our fantastic parents. Thank you.

We had a new member of staff join the baby unit as we have been getting very busy lately. Staff were also busy making multi cultural sensory bags for the children. Each group was given a theme to follow and asked to make a bag. Each group did really well with the dragonflies group winning the pize. The children have really enjoyed playing with the bags for the last few weeks.

August

Our Barnardo toddle raised lots of money and we were able to keep a small percentage of the money. We purchased a new digital camera to take photos of the children to display around the nursery. The children love seeing themselves up on the wall, they also enjoy taking photos themselvs with their own child friendly digital camera.

We purchased a bread maker and the children have been making bread and cakes. The children learn really well from hands on activities and weighing and measuring makes maths fun!

We started a song book for parents to buy. The book will include many nursery favourites, new songs, our own favourites and welsh songs. Parents have been invited to contribute songs. All money received will go towards a water butt for our sensory garden.

We said goodbye to all our big children for school and wished them all the best of luck. We currently have some vacancies in our 3-5 years old group - but hurry up they are filling up fast!

We are in the process of installing CCTV cameras in and around nursery. This will protect the children from intruders and tighten up security which is an important issue to us. The images will be data protected and will not be available online or accessed by anyone other than management. We have a strict policy to follow to ensure data protection is upheld at all times. If you visit the nursery you will receive more information on this in your prospective parent pack. We will be getting more information put onto the web site shortly.
