29/11/2007We are looking forward to next month as we have been busy with our Christmas activities. We are having 2 Christmas parties and will be having a visit from Santa and a special magic show.
We are reminding parents that we have lots of policies and procedures to read which are situated in the folder in the foyer. All policies are given to parents on joining the nursery in their enrolment packs but policies are available to copy on request.
We are sending out our updated curriculum newsletter detailing our curriculum of 0-3 matters and the Foundation Phase this month. We are also sending out our 2nd parents report of the year compiled from the questionnaires sent out last month. We received back lovley comments with all parents happy with the service they receive. All comments were taken on board and some small changes will be made in 2008. These include making a song book, listing our Welsh words to learn at home phonetically and also possibly e-mailing our newsletters.
We had a great day on Children in Need day by dressing up in our PJ's. We raised £199.44. Well done everybody!
2 members of staff have updated their child protection training this month. This is important to protect the welfare of the children in our care at nursery. 2 members of staff also attending training on consulting children. This will enable us to take into account the views of the children at nursery and to gauge their reactions to the activities on offer.
We will be updating our site early next year. This will have our new 2008 fees and other useful information. Also new for 2008 will be a variety of money saving incentives. These will include 10% discount for siblings, cheaper extra sessions, reduced short sessions, half price 2 weeks holiday for full time children, loyalty reward schemes and introduce a friend offers.
